The syndicate project server ip6/18/2023 ![]() I know I can't keep following Tushka - that will get me killed very quickly - and since he began by banking left, I now bank right. I roll in behind him, sending some rounds into the D.II that I knew would jump on his 6:00, which gets him to break off.Īt this point I'm thinking about our advantages: we have the superior aircraft, no doubt, and we also have the initiative I'm also considering our disadvantages: we're outnumbered 5 to 2, and out-gunned 10 to 2. I'm perhaps 300 meters behind Tushka as he rolls left, cutting across the enemy formation, which had formed into a horseshoe while making passes at the recon aircraft. D.IIs are harassing one of our 2-seaters, heading east at our altitude. I follow him and we head north over No Man's Land, just under the cloud layer. We trade passes at the balloon and he flames it. I roll out and maneuver to position and see that it's another Pup: must be Tushka. I find one and make a pass, check my six and notice a bogie. ![]() I make a couple of passes and flame it, then head south, looking for another. I head for the spot I think an enemy balloon will be, and sure enough, there it is. Helmut and I are pretty even, at least when I ambush his DVa with my SPAD XIII and I have a considerable energy advantage (i.e. D.II: advantage Entente, except that there were 5 D.IIs in the air, Helmut Wallenberg and J2_Adam among them (if I recall correctly). Central Powers pilots were flying the Alb. The ceiling was around 2000m and it was snowing. I flew a Pup for RNAS 3 Tushka was also up, but I did not know where. Now, I've been on the full-real server before and I've generally enjoyed it nonetheless, I often wander here and there quite a bit, patrolling. Having spent some time flaming balloons and chasing 2-seaters on the intermediate, I decided to go full-real. The situation "picture" provided by a little practice on the intermediate server made a huge difference for my experience on the "full-real" one. It was much easier to find enemy 2-seaters on this server.įurther, later on when I flew on the "full-real" server, I had the most fun I have ever had playing RoF. The map navigation aids will be particularly important in helping those who might find themselves flying west in Entente aircraft. If you have any questions, tips or just want to speak your mind, please leave a reaction here in this thread, or post on " onclick="window.open(this.href) return false "> Just download vent, its free: " onclick="window.open(this.href) return false "> and use these settings to join The Syndicate Vent: port 11310, the INTERMEDIATE room is in there.Ī big thank you as well for Gavagai for posting both the thread and poll, to get this all started. ![]() It also helps in flying together, and to start working in a team. This can greatly help your integration in multiplayer, as there are always players that can give you tips on how to fly and plan your mission. We also set up a ventrilo channel, and all are welcome to join. We turned global statistics off for the moment, so people can actually practise. These give valuable hints where to find the enemy. Please read the briefing of the mission, and use the subtitles in the mission. The server is full real, except for friendly and enemy icons, and navigation icons on the map. We have set this up so intermediate players can join up to learn to fly on a full switch server, without having to have a great situational awareness as well. Welcome to The Syndicate INTERMEDIATE server.
